Water Sanitisation
Salt Chlorinator - The most popular water sanitiser these days is the salt chlorinator. Salt is added to your pool water when being filled up by your Leisure Pools installer. The pump will then pump this water mixed with salt water through a salt chlorinator cell which has a charge going through it that reacts with the salt to create chlorine that keeps your swimming water clean and safe.

There are alternate water sanitisation systems that can be used such as liquid chlorine, fresh water systems, ozone systems.

Water Heating
There are 3 principal options that are available to heat your swimming pool water enabling you to get the maximum use out of your swimming pool all year round. Even if you are not thinking about purchasing a water heating system initially Leisure Pools recommends to fit suctions and return fittings to the swimming pool on installation and run the piping so that you have the option at a later stage to fit a water heating system without having to dig up your garden and paving at a later date.

Solar Heating
Using the power of the sun, solar heating is a great cost method of heating your swimming pool. Solar heating works by water flowing through tubing fitted to your roof which enables the water to be heated by the sun. You can regulate the water temperature by means of a controller.

Gas Heating
A gas heater is a relatively low cost alternative to enable you to quickly heat your swimming pool water. Water is moved from your swimming pool to the gas heater, then returned to the pool. A gas heater does not rely on the sun.

Heat Pump
Similar to the gas heater, a heat pump operates on a similar basis but is powered by electricity rather than gas. A heat pump does not rely on the sun.

Pool Cleaning
Manual - The debris that falls in your swimming pool from time to time can be collected using a manual vacuum. The vacuum head is attached to a telescopic pole enabling you to reach all the areas of the pool. A vacuum hose is attached to the vacuum head and back to the skimmer box where the pump creates the necessary suction.

Automatic - If you are wanting to reduce your cleaning time then an automatic pool cleaner can be used that will gradually move around the floor of your swimming pool collecting debris. A variety of automatic pool cleaners are available.
